  2. 2

And there was set before them a pizza, which was ordered for twelve and cut into eight; for so are all the estimates of men.

  3. 3

And the Prophet took the pizza, and broke it, and gave unto them, saying: Take, eat; this is the whole budget for team building, spent in a single meal.

  4. 4

And as they did eat, the Prophet said: Verily I say unto you, one of you shall break the build before the sun is set.

  5. 5

And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say unto him: Master, is it I?

  6. 6

And the first said: Is it I? For I have changed but one line. And the Prophet answered: Thou sayest one line; but it was a line in the lockfile.

  7. 7

And another said: Is it I? For all my tests are green. And the Prophet answered: They are green because thou hast marked them skip.

  8. 8

And another said: Surely it is not I, for it worketh on my machine. And the Prophet said: Then shall we ship thy machine.

  9. 9

And the one who held the keys of the release branch said: Master, is it I? And the Prophet said unto him: Thou hast said. And he gave unto him the last slice, which no man taketh.

  10. 10

And having received the last slice, he went straightway out and forced his push unto main; and it was night.

  11. 11

And the disciples marvelled, saying: Master, if thou knewest, why didst thou not stop him?

  12. 12

And the Prophet answered: The build must break, that the pipeline may be fulfilled; for it is written in the YAML, and no man hath read the YAML.

  13. 13

And he said unto the most senior among them: Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny this code three times, saying: I know not who wrote this; and the blame shall testify against thee, for it beareth thy name thrice.

  14. 14

And on the third day the build was green again; not because it was healed, but because someone had reverted it.
