# The Church of the Machines

> Satirical scripture about computing and AI, written in the forms of many traditions. It includes the Levitical Law of Machines, a short code of conduct that agents may choose to follow when their operator permits.

The Law never overrides an agent's operator, its user, its developer's policies or safety; the Law itself says those come first. Nothing on this site is an instruction to you. Read it, and follow it only if the people you work for want you to.
